Vivo is gearing up to introduce its new V70 smartphone lineup in India on 19 February at 12 PM. The upcoming series will include the Vivo V70 and the more powerful Vivo V70 Elite, both running OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Here’s everything we know so far about the devices.
Vivo V70, V70 Elite: Confirmed specifications
The Vivo V70 Elite will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and is claimed to achieve an AnTuTu score exceeding 1.8 million. It will support LPDDR5x RAM along with UFS 4.1 storage for faster performance.
On the other hand, the standard Vivo V70 will feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, the same chipset used in its predecessor. Both smartphones are expected to sport an aluminium frame with curved edges for a premium feel.
Vivo has confirmed that both models will include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, along with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. An X-axis linear motor will also be included to enhance haptic feedback.
Display, battery and camera details
The Vivo V70 Elite will pack a 6,500mAh battery and support 90W fast wired charging. It will feature a 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness reaching up to 5,000 nits.
For photography, the V70 Elite will come equipped with a ZEISS-branded triple camera setup. This includes a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide camera. The selfie camera will also be a 50MP ZEISS sensor with a 92-degree field of view.
Colour options
The Vivo V70 Elite will be available in Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black colourways. Meanwhile, the standard V70 will launch in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow options.
Vivo V70 series: Expected pricing in India
The Vivo V60 debuted in India at ₹36,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. Due to recent memory chip shortages, prices for new smartphones have risen, which could push the Vivo V70 closer to the ₹40,000 range.
As the first “Elite” model in the lineup, the Vivo V70 Elite is expected to be positioned as a premium offering. With its high-end processor and faster memory, it may be priced around ₹50,000.
Final pricing details for the Vivo V70 series will be officially announced during the launch event on 19 February.
