Underdogs Studio, an Indian developer, has unveiled gameplay for Mukti, its narrative-focused adventure title currently in development for PC and PS5. Set in mid-2000s India, the game challenges players to navigate a museum and piece together clues about its history. Mukti is being created under Sony’s India Hero Project and is now available to add to your Steam and PlayStation Store wishlists.
Mukti Gameplay Trailer Debut
Players assume the role of Arya, a young woman determined to solve her grandfather’s disappearance. Drawing inspiration from story-rich adventures like Firewatch and Gone Home, Mukti offers a first-person exploration of a sprawling Mumbai museum, where every pamphlet and artifact helps unravel the central mystery.
The newly released trailer, showcasing pre-alpha footage on PS5, highlights Arya wandering through the museum, examining exhibits, uncovering clues, and interacting with her surroundings. “Joining the Sony India Hero Project not only enabled us to realize our vision, but also reinforced our conviction that Indian narratives deserve global recognition,” said Vaibhav Chavan, CEO and founder of Underdogs Studios. “We’re excited to finally share a glimpse of our work.”
On PS5 and PS5 Pro, Mukti will support 4K resolution, haptic feedback, and adaptive triggers via the DualSense controller.
