The Google Play Store, previously known as the Android App Market, used to allow users to download multiple app updates at once. However, this feature has been absent for more than ten years. Thankfully, it seems that this functionality has finally been reintroduced.
9to5Google has noticed that the Play Store now has the ability to download and install multiple app updates simultaneously. I can confirm that this feature is available on my Pixel 7 Pro—take a look at the screenshot below.
The feature limits you to downloading and installing no more than three app updates simultaneously, with any additional updates being marked as “pending” in the queue. Despite this limitation, it’s still a significant improvement compared to the previous restriction of updating one app at a time.
