Vivo has announced that it will soon launch the OriginOS 6 preview program for Vivo X200 Pro and iQOO 13 users in India, offering early access to the upcoming Android 16-based update. The company will officially unveil OriginOS 6 in China on October 10, followed by its global debut on October 15. Ahead of the launch, Vivo has shared a teaser video showcasing the new interface, which appears to take design cues from Apple’s iOS 26.

OriginOS 6 Design Preview
A teaser posted on Vivo’s Weibo account on Thursday gives an early look at the redesigned user interface. The video spotlights a major overhaul beginning with an animated lockscreen clock, which closely resembles the one on iOS 26 and dynamically adjusts as notifications accumulate.
The update introduces translucent, glowing lockscreen numerals that respond to touch, reflecting a refreshed visual style carried throughout the interface and system apps. Vivo has also improved system animations—closing recent apps now looks smoother and more refined.
Other enhancements include stacked notifications for better organization, revamped Quick Settings, and new Atomic Island overlays that blend seamlessly across the UI. In addition, landscape mode gains more flexibility with support for pop-up floating windows.
On the AI side, OriginOS 6 brings new intelligent tools such as Live Photo AI Erase, which can automatically remove moving subjects from Live Photos. These updates aim to deliver both a polished visual experience and greater functionality.
Vivo has also confirmed that some of these features will debut on the upcoming Vivo X300 series. Along with the Live Photo AI Erase tool that uses advanced recognition and frame-by-frame processing, the new devices will feature Shake to Share, allowing users to instantly share content with multiple devices across different ecosystems simply by shaking their phone.
