Reliance Jio has announced that it will offer a free Google AI Pro subscription for 18 months to its users — a package valued at over ₹3,500. This announcement follows OpenAI’s decision to make ChatGPT Go free in India for one year.
The Google AI Pro offer is currently available to Jio users on 5G unlimited plans priced at ₹349 or higher, applicable to both prepaid and postpaid customers. To maintain access, users must remain on an eligible plan throughout the 18-month period.
Initially, the offer is being rolled out for users aged between 18 and 25 years. If you qualify, here’s how to claim it:
- Open the MyJio app on your smartphone.
- Locate the banner mentioning the Google AI Pro subscription.
- Tap “Claim Now” and complete the form. You may need to provide your Gmail ID to activate the offer.
Users older than 25 can still register their interest through the banner, ensuring they’re notified when the offer becomes available to all.
The Google AI Pro plan grants access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro model, featuring Deep Research and a 1-million-token context window for longer, more coherent responses. Subscribers also gain image and video generation capabilities via the Nano Banana and Veo 3.1 Fast models.
Additionally, the plan includes 2 TB of cloud storage shared across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos, plus Gemini AI integration within Google apps such as Docs and Gmail for smarter productivity.
