Google is strengthening its focus on AI-driven education by introducing full-length practice exams for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) within Gemini. The JEE is one of India’s most competitive engineering entrance tests, taken by millions of students each year to gain admission into leading technical institutes.
According to Google, students can now attempt complete JEE mock tests directly through Gemini. The questions are curated using verified content from Indian education platforms such as PhysicsWallah and Careers360.
This launch follows Google’s recent rollout of similar AI-powered test preparation features for the SAT, expanding the company’s efforts to support structured exam readiness.
After completing a mock exam, Gemini provides instant performance feedback, identifying strengths and areas that need improvement. The chatbot can also explain correct answers and help students create a personalised study plan based on their results.
Google said the addition of full-length practice tests reflects its broader goal of positioning Gemini as a comprehensive learning and exam preparation tool, rather than simply a source of quick answers.
Beyond Gemini, Google announced that JEE preparation features will also be available through AI Mode in Search. This includes the Canvas tool, which enables students to create study guides and interactive quizzes by uploading their own class notes.
Google added that students across India are already using Gemini to study topics ranging from advanced physics to general STEM subjects. Its NotebookLM tool is also being used to transform study materials into quizzes, flashcards, and audio or video summaries. Google’s AI learning tools support multiple Indian languages, making them accessible to a wider student base.
