ColorOS 7 has been launched by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer OPPO at a recent event in Beijing, China. A completely redesigned UI that draws heavily from the changes introduced in Android 10 has been offered by the latest Android skin form the company. This is to give users a better user experience when compared to the previous version of ColorOS
The new visual design concept in ColorOS 7 offer users a improved color system and is expected to reduce visual fatigue. The icons in ColorOS 7 allows the users to change the shape amd size of the icons on their home screen and they are completely customizable. To offee a high quality desktop experience, the company has added a new Art+ wallpapers to the software. The sound effects are completely redesigned in the software, which has been done with the partnership of a renowned Danish sound company, Episound. This aims to surpass the physical world around to provide the users with a soothing experience.
Besides the audio-visual change, which is quite impressive, ColorOS 7 also provides some background optimizations for improving system performance. OPPO claims that with ColorOS 7, deviceswill get better RAM optimization capabilities and reduce application start-up time by 40%, with a system resource efficiency of 30%. To enhance the overall gaming experience the software includes improvements for the in-game frame rates and touch response. The camera application has also been enhanced with Portrait Mode 2.0, improved night mode and a super steady mode for video capture, editing and sharing.
At this event, OPPO haa also shared the release timeline for ColorOS 7, with phase 1of the rollout to begin on November 25. The software will be released for OPPO Reno, Reno Inspiration Edition, Reno 10x Zoom, Reno Barcelona Custom Edition, Reno Ace and Reno Ace Gundam Edition during the 1st phase. During this year in December, the 2nd phase is expected to begin, pushing the software to OPPO Reno 2. Realme devices with Realme X and Realme X Youth edition is expected to have the update in February next year. A slightly modified version of ColorOS 7 will be rolled out to the Realme devices.The Realme Q is expected to receive the update within March 2020, while Rralme X and Realme X2 are expected to receive ColorOS 7 in April 2020. At an event on November 26, the company is expected to release the ColorOS 7 in India.
