Apple has announced that users can now transfer playlists directly from Apple Music to YouTube Music. Although third-party apps have previously enabled data transfer between music streaming platforms, this marks the first time Apple has provided native support for this feature. Additionally, Apple has published a support document outlining the steps to move playlists from Apple Music to YouTube Music.
Apple clarified that when you transfer playlists to YouTube Music, they remain in your Apple Music account and are not deleted. You can only transfer playlists that you’ve created, including collaborative playlists you own. However, non-collaborative shared playlists and curated playlists are not eligible for transfer.
Since the actual music files are not transferred, the playlists you move will only contain songs that are available on YouTube Music. Audio content like podcasts, audiobooks, and user-uploaded tracks within a playlist will not be included in the transfer.
